How to enable Chrome tabs in Android Lollipop

In Android Lollipop, Google changed the way tabs are handled in Chrome browser. Now, by default, Chrome tabs do not appear within the app. Instead they appear as separate apps in the Overview which also displays other recently used apps. Although, Google thinks that it is better to have tabs as separate apps, but you might not feel so. It's easy to get lost within recent apps and tabs. Thankfully there's a simple remedy to this problem. All you have to do is open Google Chrome and head to Settings > Merge tabs and apps. Then just turn off the feature. You will be notified that the tabs will move inside the Chrome app. That's all! You can now switch between tabs in Chrome just like you did in the previous versions of Android.

Did You Play Dinosaur Run Game in Chrome?

Google Chrome is a browser made for accessing the internet from your Android phone. But did you know that there's a hidden game inside the browser? Whenever Chrome is unable to connect to the internet, it displays an error message with a dinosaur on top. Tapping on the dinosaur icon makes the dinosaur come alive by taking you on a side-scrolling infinite runner game. The dinosaur can do nothing except jumping. There are cactus which come along the way of the dinosaur. Hit one of them and it's game over. Timing is very crucial in this game where you have to tap to make the dinosaur jump at the right moment over the obstacles. Too early or too late and the dinosaur hits the cactus. Overall a great way to spend time when you are detached from the net.

How to Cancel Downloads in Google Chrome for Android

Google Chrome is one of the most popular web browser on Android and Desktop alike. It packs a host of powerful features combined with superior speed that makes it lovable to Android users. But unlike other mobile web browsers, Google Chrome doesn't provide an option to cancel downloads. The downloads in Chrome are directly controlled by the built-in Download Manager within the Android operating system. So, the way around to stop a download in Chrome for Android is to go to Settings and open Apps. Now go to the tab which says All. Scroll down to find Download Manager and tap on it. Touch on Force Stop. The download icon will vanish from the notification bar. Tapping on Clear Data will ensure that the problem doesn't come back again. Was this information helpful?
